Breeding certificate

At the beginning of each year, a breeding certificate is sent to the owner of every actively registered Oldenburg mare. This already contains the basic data of the mare as well as the address and membership number of the owner.

Please present the breeding certificate to the stallion keeper before covering.

The breeding certificate must contain at least the following information:

  1. Name and life number of the mare
  2. Name and life number of the stallion
  3. Last covering date of the mare
  4. Breeding register number
  5. If applicable, date and result of the pregnancy examination
  6. Name and address of the mare’s owner
  7. Signature of the stallion keeper or his representative and the station’s stamp

After covering/insemination has taken place, the stallion keeper must complete the breeding certificate in full and sign it.

The upper part of the breeding certificate remains with the mare owner. The lower part of the breeding certificate must be returned to the Oldenburg Horse Center Vechta by September 30 of the respective year.

In the case of embryo transfer, we kindly require the following information in a veterinary certificate:

  • Flushing date
  • Implantation date
  • Information (pedigree) of the recipient mare
