Equest Oldenburger
Geländepferdechampionat
Supporting Young Talent in the Modern Eventing Sport
With the Equest Oldenburger Geländepferdechmapionat, the Oldenburg Horse Breeders' Association has created a new competition format aimed specifically at young, versatile horses. The focus lies on the development and promotion of horses destined for the modern eventing discipline.
Competition Format and Qualification
The championship features eventing horse tests from Class E to Class L and is open to horses of all breeds, including both riding horses and ponies. The event provides ideal conditions for riders and trainers to introduce young talent to competition.
The Class A and Class L tests also serve as qualifiers for the Bundeschampionate in Warendorf. The top three 5-year-old Oldenburg horses in the Class A competition and the top three 6-year-old Oldenburg horses in the Class L competition will be specially honored during the championship ceremony. Breeders of placed horses are also rewarded with high-quality honorary prizes.
A unique feature of the championship is the Mare Performance Test for versatile mares, which is held as part of the event.
Framing Program and Services
The event is designed for active riders and breeders alike. With commentated rounds and highly qualified judges, the championship is also an attractive experience for spectators. Free coffee and cake is provided for all association members. The event is held under optimal conditions at the PSVWE State Equestrian Training Center in Vechta.
Purpose and Significance
With the Equest Oldenburger Geländepferdechampionat, the Oldenburg studbook is responding to the growing relevance of eventing in sport and breeding. It offers a targeted platform for the promotion of talented, versatile young horses.
